It’s a Manolito stool combined with a Tió. Tió is a catalan mythological character related to Christmas. It is traditionally represented by a log which kids “feed” every night from December 8th until Christmas eve. Then the kids beat it with sticks while singing songs, and the Tió “defecates” presents for them. The piece will be on sale exclusively at Otrascosas, 8 Seneca St. Barcelona.
Balensiya, the stool designed by Gonzalo Milà and Juan Carlos Ines in 1991, has been published in the selection of Marco Velardi for GQ Italy.
